Converged Network Adapter

Converged Network Adapters (CNAs) can run both Ethernet and Fibre Channel traffic at the same time.

These CNAs combine the functions of an HBA and a Network Interface Card (NIC) on one card. CNAs fully supports FCoE protocols and allow Fibre Channel traffic to converge onto 10 Gbps Ethernet networks.

These Converged Network Adapters play a critical role in the FCoE implementation. When you implement CNAs, they are significant enablers in reducing data center costs by converging data and storage networking.
